Conditions of Entry
CONDITIONS AND RULES IMPOSED BY MACKAY TOUCH ASSOCIATION
- Registration Fee - $22 TFA Component plus $90 Mackay Touch Fee Plus Club Fee
- All registrations must be paid online, no payments will be taken during sign-on day - The season starts on 11/08/2023 and Grand final on 17/11/2023
- Must have a minimum of 8 players registered for 8 & Under(Mixed, Boys or Girls) and a minimum of 10 Players to be registered for 10&Under; 12& Under; 14 & Under; 16 & Under; 18 &U (still at school) (Boys or Girls). Will not be accepted if the not correct number of players per age division. U8 & U10's play with 5 on field.
- It is highly recommended that all coaches be accredited to at least a Foundation Coaching Level or above. The course will be a one day course and will be held before season start. All coaches must complete the Australian Sports Commission GENERAL PRINCIPLES online assessment - https://learning.ausport.gov.au/auth/login/?returnUrl=%2F#
- Coach or Manager must be present at each game displaying Blue Card must be shown upon request (from MTA Executive and Sub Committees) and sign for team card at Donga before the game.
- Players can only play in their nominated team (age division) unless following the Mackay Touch Bylaws.
- All players must be registered online and paid for before taking the field.
- Player eligibility – Each player is required to play 3 games in their nominated division to be eligible for finals. BYES and FORFEITS DO NOT COUNT towards eligibility.
- 14 & Under players are encouraged to nominate as a referee and attend a referee’s course, 16 & Under MUST nominate a referee. Referees are paid $6.00 a double & $10.00 a single if completed the level 1 Referees Course. The course will be held at the start of the season (9:00 am – 3:00 pm). - No games are played during SCHOOL HOLIDAYS.
- Boys are not able to substitute in any girls division.
- All teams must be in the same shirts (with numbers wherever possible but not necessary), similar shorts, shoes (no metal tags) and socks. Players not in uniform may be requested not to take the field.
- Swearing or abusing the referees, the other team or your own players will not be accepted.
- Touch Football Australia Code of Conduct applies.
- Forfeits - 24 hours’ notice is preferred or earlier. A team you may be playing might come from out of town.
- Finals Format will be Semi Final 1 V 4 and 2 V 3, winner of both games will play in the Grand Final.
